Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
Matthew Tysz's "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies” brings the audience to the rich kingdom of Voulhire and presents Galen Bray, a man from the Land of the Princes, as the main storyteller. It starts with the Lord Meldorath’s desire to subjugate Caromentis, and the events set off responses that reach Hillport, a city aspiring to be great. Consequently, the decisions made by Lord Meldorath would be either the con for Hillport or the merited punishment they deserved. We also see Lord Eldus, who is anointed the King’s Lord of Hillport, attempt to restore the city that’s been dominated by Orlin and Meldorath. With the support of his family, Eldus aspires to make Hillport a wealthy economic hub; however, during the investigation, he finds out the grim fate of Lord Orlin’s victims.
Matthew Tysz's "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" also speaks about the constructive use of magical abilities, wherein Marshus, son of Lord Eldus, is depicted to be using his powers to increase the spree of their village. The story builds a unique plot within the imaginary world of Voulhire and is complemented by a map of the world, which assists the reader in grasping the environment.
Voulhire was developed by Matthew Tysz, and it presents the readers with a thrilling ride. The author does a fine job of really distinguishing the personas of this novel as the reader is introduced to numerous characters, many of whom have interesting backstories. Following the event in terms of chapters that are titled after certain characters seems to be easier. This is a plus, as it lets the reader know that this is only volume one in a series, and more in the series will be covered later on. I specifically loved these aspects and more.
On the matter of editing, there were no issues I could delineate from reading the book “We Are Voulhire.” With no typographical or grammatical errors evident, it can be stated that Tysz paid a great deal of attention to making the final product as perfect in editing and writing as possible.
There's nothing about it that I dislike. I do have a few suggestions for improvements, however. Adding a table of contents and page numbers would enhance the book's appeal. "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" unquestionably earns a 5 out of 5 stars for its compelling characters, captivating storyline, multidimensional plot, and flawless editing marked by the absence of errors.
This book is highly recommended for readers seeking a gripping, enthralling mystery, especially those who enjoy magic and fantasy and eagerly anticipate the next installment in the series.
