Kandi Jones is a hard-working girl who was born in Pennsylvania. Her parents' recent deaths, as well as her ambitions, make her go to Malibu to work at a hotel. That is precisely the plot of Malibu Desires by Kathleen Adele Cunningham, a book in which the protagonist tries to forget the tragedy of her loss and balance her professional future with her loving relationships with other hotel employees. This book is considered "other fiction," full of suspense, adventure, and romantic twists.

What stands out most about this book in a positive way is how light and pleasant it is to read. The author managed to reproduce the hotel's vacation and enjoyment atmosphere brilliantly. For the reader, whether reading the description of the food or the hotel staff preparing a romantic environment for guests, everything is delightful, and you get the feeling that you are on vacation in Malibu.

I didn't find anything to dislike about this work. I began reading the book with the idea that I was diving into a fun and straightforward story akin to an entertaining tale about a couple in Malibu. It is exceptionally well-edited, and I couldn't find a single grammatical error. Even though it takes place in Malibu in a vacation environment (at least for the guests), it does not contain any sexual content or profane words, making the reading even lighter and more enjoyable.

Malibu Desires is your typical easy-to-read and fun book. Anyone who reads the title tends to think it is a book about parties in Malibu and young people enjoying the beaches, but the book is more about a woman who wants to forget her traumas and focus on work. However, she finds love in the end, and the book has the typical "they lived happily ever after" ending. Even so, it is very well written for what the book proposes. As I didn't find any defects and found it enjoyable to read, I can only give it 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to those who like romance novels with female protagonists. It has a linear plot without much psychological development of the characters or complexity in the chain of events, but in the end, it is an enjoyable read. There is no sexual content or profane words, so even teenagers can enjoy this reading. Additionally, the author does an excellent job of depicting the scenic beauty of Malibu, making it easy for readers to visualize themselves in a serene, sun-drenched paradise. The interactions between the characters are heartfelt and genuine, adding to the overall charm of the story.
