Galen Bray must have let out a huge sigh of relief when he escaped the war-torn Lands of the Princes and found refuge in Voulhire. Let me tell you what the situation was and what led to it. The Emperor of Lullabies was the emperor, and he was very wise yet very wicked. He had four sons whom he exiled to small islands, and this led to a fierce and continuous struggle for power among the sons, each wanting dominance and control over the others. This conflict plunged the entire region into chaos and bloodshed, creating a devastating situation of war and instability.

No one could get out of the Lands of the Princes. If you were young and energetic, you were taken and drafted into the war. If you were weak, you were left to die from the famine and hunger that ravaged the land. Galen escaped all that conflict by a whisker—a long-forgotten and distant uncle, not having any heirs to his estate, gave the inheritance to Galen and made plans to process the documents for Galen's settlement in Magnum Caelum. Unknown to him, the Riva Rohavi, led by Vidius Crodai, were wreaking havoc all over Voulhire. Also, there was the threat of the very powerful and fearful mage, Lord Meldorath. How did things go down?

I like the amazing and unique world-building and setting in "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz. The world-building is exceptionally detailed and immersive, and the author does a good job of creating a clear and dark fantasy-themed land of Voulhire. From its diverse cities and towns to its complex political systems and magical landscapes, I like how much work went into the book's creation, and the depth of the setting allows me to really engage with the story. For example, I liked how Magnum Caelum was drawn—it is a peaceful town with stone houses and colorful rooftops, providing a stark contrast to the war-torn Lands of the Princes. Yamon Soul, the holy city, was also depicted with great detail, including its majestic Diadem and the strict religious governance that defines its culture.

I would like to congratulate the author on a job well done. I immensely enjoyed reading the book, and I may be continuing with the series. On my rating, I think the book deserves 5 out of 5 stars and nothing less, as I didn't see anything to criticize about it. The book was exceptionally well edited as well.
