We're Voulhire: A New Arrival Under the Great Skies by Matthew Tax is a fantasy book that talks about a young man named Galen who leaves his homeland for a city called Voulhire. The book starts when Galen is on the boat going to receive inheritance from his uncle. Galen has no idea of the challenges he's going to face in the Kingdom. While Galen is still on the boat, we hear about the Emperor of Lullabies. The Emperor of Lullabies had four sons, and he was worried that one day they would overthrow him and take control of his empire. Galen Bray describes his homeland, saying, "In the Lands of the Princes, it was either getting killed in a fight or starving slowly." King Wilhelm of Voulhire intends to safeguard his land, but he requires assistance from the Mianoran Knights. These are the times when Galen Bray, a grinning and grateful immigrant, arrives by boat in VoulVoulhire, determined to do right by his new people no matter what it takes. The plot alternates between the lives of the main characters, who circle around a communal nucleus: Meldorath Dalehei is a fantastic magician. The never-ending war between good and evil does not become apparent until the middle of the novel, when we meet Lord Eldus, who found pages from a mystery book written by a forerunner of the castle that is now his home. He kept them safe in a box and eliminated them before they could cause any further harm. He believed that reading the content on those pages would spell the end of everything that had begun to bloom within the walls. The author wrote an engaging fantasy story step by step.
The book is a well-written fantasy. I found myself fantasizing. It was an enjoyable read. I would happily recommend this amazing book to anyone who enjoys fantasy stories. The book is error-free; I did not find any errors, therefore well edited. Besides, I did not find anything to dislike about the book, so it deserves 5 out of 5 stars.
