Review of The Solution is Political Revolution
After reading The Solution is Political Revolution, the current state of the U.S. economy and the country as a whole makes much more sense. In this book, Jillion R Rising takes the time to thoroughly explain the hidden workings of the financial and political systems in the U.S., basing his analysis on solid facts that trace back from the Great Depression to the 2008 Mortgage Crisis, and up to the present Recession. Rising identifies the well-known institutions and powerful individuals who have played significant roles in these crises. While there may be more players operating behind the scenes, Rising focuses on familiar names, particularly those recognized by those acquainted with history and politics. The most baffling revelation is that, despite the harm they may have caused the U.S., some of these individuals are now chairpersons or stakeholders in major firms.
As Rising delves deeper into his analysis, it becomes clear that many of those in power are more concerned with personal gain than the welfare of millions of people. They seem to be attempting to strip away the independence of the populace, with monopolists controlling major goods and services under the guise of caring for the people. In reality, this has only led to an increased tax burden on individuals. These issues didn't arise overnight; they are the ripple effects of past decisions made by the wealthy and powerful. I encourage you to read this book to see for yourself how the masses can demand better from the government.
I appreciate how the author simplifies his findings, making it easy for anyone with an interest in politics to understand. The book serves as a wake-up call for those who may have shared Rising's thoughts. What I particularly love is how Rising not only identifies the issues but also offers notable solutions. Although I’m not well-versed in politics and finance, I could grasp the strong points in his arguments. The question remains, however: how many people are truly ready for revolution? Revolution is much more than protest; it involves many complexities and represents a direct challenge to those in authority. And as we know, those in power are unlikely to relinquish their control easily. I hope that one day the country will be courageous enough to embrace change, but for now, it doesn't seem feasible.
Given the author’s commitment and his ability to align his ideas and thoughts so effectively, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. There's nothing I dislike about it. The book was professionally edited.
