If you’re serious about improving your golf game, I can confidently say "Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book" by Kalliope Barlis is a book you need in your arsenal. I have nothing but praise for this book for a number of reasons I will explain. The most important is what sets this book apart from the countless other golf guides out there—its unique focus on the mental aspect of the game, which is often overlooked but absolutely crucial for anyone looking to step up their performance.

Most golf books will teach you the mechanics—how to grip the club, how to swing, how to choose the right club for the right situation. While Barlis covers these fundamentals, where she really shines is in her exploration of the mind’s role in playing better golf. She introduces Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) as a tool to help you master the mental side of golf. This approach isn’t something you’ll find in your typical golf manual, and that’s what makes this book so valuable. Barlis shows you how to use your mind to visualize success, maintain focus under pressure, and build the confidence needed to perform well consistently.

Overall, "Play Golf Better Faster" is a book I can readily recommend. It is not just another golf book you will find in a bookstore—it’s a game plan for how to think, practice, and play smarter. I like how clear, actionable, and rooted in real-world application the advice is. It is a must-read for any golfer serious about improving. Plus, the book is exceptionally well-edited, making it a smooth and engaging read from start to finish. I give it 5 out of 5 stars because it’s simply one of the best resources out there for golfers who want to elevate their game both mentally and physically. I found no negative aspects or any reasons at all to make me rate it lower.
