Can anyone recommend a book focusing on battles of brains

Just as the title suggests I am currently looking for a book/book series whose characters engage in strategy, trickery, and cunning to win confrontations. As this is rather vague the following books/series are things in line with what I am looking for but have been unable to find:
As a child I read the Artemis Fowl series about a criminal mastermind whose battles are won by anticipating and countering the advances of the police.

Sci Fi- Enders Game

Fantasy- The Name of the Wind

Manga- Code Geass, Death Note (this manga in particular has reinvigorated my interest in such conflicts. A cat and mouse game between a genius serial killer and an equally intelligent detective as they dance around one another preempting and countering their advancements)

Any help people can offer would be greatly appreciated.

The Bartimaeus Trilogy is really good.
