In Search of a Book

Hey

I read this one Science Fiction book as a Child, loved it, and can't remember more than the general plot. Does anyone else recognize it?

Plot:

Scientist goes back in time to time of Dinosaurs. His means of travel is a Robotic Dinosaur he is able to live out of...

He finds there are people back then, but they are Martians who have abandoned their planet which was falling apart.

He rescues a young girl and her brother... turns out she is a princess. At the end of the book HE needs rescuing. His boss and coworker show up in a Robotic Dinosaur they live out of. Turns out his boss is the Princess and the coworker is her brother. They somehow left their civilization behind to travel to future to be with him so he could rescue them. (The last sentence is my deduction... it is not actually part of the book)

Any ideas who wrote it or what the Title is?
