ARA Review by Selekane Deborah of Good Twin Bad Twin

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

Good twin, Bad twin in the context of the book is an entire oxymoron ;the book doesn’t only give a theme of “good versus evil” but, with Ethan having teamed up with his evil twin Kredax shows entirely the theme of “yin-yan” ☯️ where good and evil can co-exist. Having Ethan’s memory erased also signifies the alpha whereby all that Ethan had knew to be true in life has been erased and he has been given a chance to have perspective of what is really hidden in reality , where “good” isn’t always good , and where “bad” isn’t always as bad.

Having been introduced to the city where he met his acquaintances Mistix and Jessica who live and are used to a city abundant with technology it is amazing how four minds would think alike, how the four friends would understand that to every good (the beautiful city above), there is definitely a bad side to it (underground). The mystery of what unknown could the technological birds hovering in the sky be guarding, what mystic lies underneath and if Ethan is the “good” twin what bad in him is his goodness concealing?

The book challenges the mind as it puts you in a state of imagination where with every chapter there’s a new theme that causes a twist to the plot, the atmosphere thickens as Ethan remains Asians to find out where he truly comes from and in the process this creates uncertainty to his friends as to whether or not they are also fully aware of their true identity; Jessica breaking morals and rules just to get to the bottom of concealed truth that was meant to be hidden from those above , Mistix also being unclear as to whether he has a twin also and whether he is the good or the bad one.

I would most definitely recommend the book as it also makes one start searching deeper into themselves, it raises self-awareness that good and bad need each other, that each side needs to be watered evenly as each side is just as important. The good and the bad are what make us, sometimes the good is what keeps us out of trouble but the bad is also as significant as it also fights us out of the constant wormholes of uncertainty and spiral ring of lies.

The word “good” is sometimes a facade covering the truth.

My rating for the book is 4/5
