Halloween often creates an image of spookiness and fear in children's minds. But what if it could be imagined as something playful and fun, something that delights rather than frightens young readers? “Halloween with Snowman Paul” by Yossi Lapid is a sweet and playful picture book about this holiday.

The main characters in this story, Snowman Paul and Dan, are having a fun-filled Halloween party at their spookily decorated treehouse. The path to the treehouse is filled with mystery, marked by warning signs at four different stages. A young boy arrives at the venue and tries to enter the treehouse, but before he can, he must encounter strange aliens, scary witches, mighty dragons, and a mean ghost. Will the young boy be brave enough to overcome these hurdles and join Dan and Snowman Paul at their party?

The main attraction of this story is its illustration. Joanna Pasek has done a wonderful job creating colorful and eye-catching images. These images are so cute and attractive that young kids will get mesmerized and immersed in the book. These illustrations help them to develop their imagination and get rid of their scary feelings related to Halloween.

The author included the scary aspects along with the fun, making kids curious to know what happens next. They have also given attention to detail, like creating a spooky font style for the warning signs. Most of the story is told through pictures, with the text minimized to two or three lines per page, making it easy to read and understand. The story is explained using simple vocabulary and rhyming words.

There is nothing I dislike about this book; I really enjoyed reading it. The editing of the book was also exceptional; I didn’t find any errors. So, considering all this, I rate this book 5 out of 5. This book is perfect for kids between the ages of 3 and 8, though they might need a little help from parents or teachers to fully enjoy and understand the story.

This sounds like a delightful book for kids and their parents to share. Halloween is so much fun for kids, and the snowman is a reminder that Christmas is around the corner. I am guessing that this book will build excitement and anticipation for the kids. My grandkids will love this book. Thank you for reviewing this book.
