A Letter Unwritten by Randy Rauh is an emotionally touching memoir describing the lives of two strong women. Randy wrote this book beginning by describing the life of his mother and ending with the life of his wife. His mother, JoAnn, went through many hardships in her life, including a marriage to a mentally unstable man, having to provide for her three children by herself, and dealing with her health issues. She is described as an extraordinary woman who managed to persevere through everything. Her children were the most important thing in her life, and she showed them true strength and resilience.

Bonnie was Randy’s high school sweetheart and one true love. You can feel the pure love that the couple had for each other on every page of this book. The author lovingly illustrates the life that he had with Bonnie, beginning from their early years together. Throughout the adversities that they faced in life, such as financial hardships, health problems, and issues getting pregnant, Bonnie and Randy found their love growing stronger. After a lengthy process, the couple adopted two children who filled their lives with joy. The final pages of this book are bittersweet, and the reader may find themselves teary-eyed.

In his book, Rauh intricately intertwines the lives of two incredible women. His writing shows the admiration he had for these women and how they shaped his character and faith. The tribute is genuine and straightforward, tugging at the heartstrings. I very much enjoyed reading it, and I would highly recommend it to anybody who appreciates tender, personal stories.

I have rated this book 5 out of 5 and 4 out of 4. There was nothing that I disliked in this book. I did not notice any grammatical or spelling errors. There was no vulgar language included. Overall, this is an excellent read in my opinion.
