Also reading great author's gets me hyped to write my own story.

I think the solution to that scenario is to just go ahead and write with the subpar idea, and you can always make edits later on. In fact, I find that if I read something I've written, I usually come up with good ideas for improvements while reading it.

Yep, this is good advice. Alternatively, go watch some classic cinema.
But just don't worry about it - the more you fret, the worse the block gets.

Then one day, five years later, sitting on the beach, all of a sudden it came rushing back, like a giant wave I didn't see coming. One line after another flooding my brain. When I was finally done writing, I had a four part poem sitting in front of me. I read it back to myself not beleiving I had wrote those words. And then I prayed! Long and hard, thanking God that I had remembered my passion.
While I'm not as readily inspired as I once was, I am glad that I have once again found the beuty and release of writing.
