Need Some Information?

Post by AngelPrincess09 »

Hey All ,

Struggling to come up with the goods for a book. Or even fanfics.
I have the ideas. But don't follow through on making them into enjoyable readable sentences.

So what do you do about this sort of thing.
Do you keep going. And try to dig through it.
Or do you give up and throw the towel in?

Any help would be good.

My advice would be don't go it alone. I'm a firm believer in attending author talks, joining a writer's group, subscribing to a writers journal and reading bestselling author's tips on how to write. Get their inside story! Perhaps start off with short stories because a whole book can be daunting. Also, if you are into fanfic, blog other fans and writers and don't be afraid of criticism. Post something here for feedback. Write whenever and wherever you can, don't have a 'special' time or place because your creative streak may not be ready at that moment. Rough drafts are when you let your imagination flow so don't rewrite or edit until afterwards. Sometimes setting yourself a deadline, e.g. to write 5,000 words by Friday, can help especially when you get published and have an editor breathing down your neck! Good luck.
