Stephen King's Rage...

On the Wikipedia page for this book, it says that it is 211 pages long. I got this book in a collection called "The Bachman Books", and my version has only 170 pages. Is my version edited from the original, or is Wikipedia wrong about the length?

It was edited in some editions. I think they originally edited it, and then re-released it, along with The Stand, in their original formats.

It is rumoured that Stephen King let "Rage" fall out of print due to the book being linked with two school shootings and a copy was found in the locker of an assailant. No doubt this had something to do with the editing. It is said to be different from his other works but I believe that is because it was written very early in his career.

Does anybody know what was edited out, if anything?

I hate it when books, music, and movies are censored. I prefer to take in the art, the way it was intended!

Yeah SK pulled it off the shelves after Columbine I believe. My copy is in the Bachman Books collection.

I tried buying a copy of the single but people were asking for ridiculous amounts of money. Couldn't really find one for under $100 so I bought the Bachman Books on Abebooks for like $2.00 or something.
