Hello My Love By Evy Journey
This is a complete package of a book. It has romance, suspense, mystery and second chances in it. This story is concerned with the life of a modern-day American couple. When we meet up with Elise she is an intelligent university student aiming for a degree in law. Greg Thorpe the playboy millionaire is immediately taken up by the innocent charm and beauty of Elise. A friendship develops between the two. This friendship results in dire consequences for both. The reader's attention is totally gripped by the horrifying circumstances which unfold.
In this book we see two character who are totally committed to each other but the ugly truths in the form of jilted women and revenge rear their head to create trouble for Elise and Greg. Greg who was about to get married to his fiancé realizes he does not want to marry her because he has realized how much he loves Elise. Now he has to make a final choice. It shows in the book that even though it is not easy to love someone but Greg and Elise are willing to conquer all for the sake of their love.
On another level the book also deals with the struggle women all over the world go through while striving to meet their goals. We see Elise as a strong sensible character who has a no-nonsense approach. For her it was her career and education first. The author shows that it is a battle for woman to gain a foothold in their profession while at the same time giving equal attention to their families. We see Elise as a representative of women. She continues her struggle despite facing insurmountable barriers and difficulties in her life. Despite all the effort she puts in we see how she has no control over where life takes her.
The author is pointing out various topic of interest to readers like completion of education, abortion and setting up of various boundaries for their lives. The author shows that how important it is for family to support it’s members in their life. For Elise this support comes in the form of her parents who are there for her when she does not know where to turn to.
The book is very well written. The character development has been handled very well. The character development after the passing of two years has been shown when we meet more mature, patience in the characters who are willing to pass some time alone rather than hurt the person they love. The author has adopted very eloquent and descriptive style of writing like
1. Occasional guttural hooting of owls etc
2. The poetic description of Greg’s house is very beautiful.
This book is a must read for all those romantics at heart especially.
i rate this book a 4 out of 4
