If you are into the sci-fi genre, then this is the perfect book to read. Superhighway by Alex Fayman is the first book in Superhighway Trilogy and has a unique plot. I’m glad I chose this book. I’m not a fan of sci-fi, but this book

Alex Fine was an orphan who had been adopted twice but had failed to become a part of the families. It was not his fault, but his mindset never changed after he got dropped back to the orphanage. Since then, he cut himself from other children and spent his time and energy gaining knowledge and passing classes with flying colors. One day, their orphanage collected enough money to install computers for educational purpose. Alex had been fascinated by computers since the day he had seen and operated them when he was adopted by one of the families. So when he got another opportunity to get closer to the technology, he snatched the moment. But he hadn't known what he was signing up for. His life flipped upside down as soon as he realized his gift that no one possessed. But will he be able to justify his power or will he succumb to it? Revelations, heartbreaks, and chaotic life that he was unaware of awaits for him. He has to make choices that can either change his life back to normal or change it to something that he never asked for.

I'd like to start with the things I liked about this book. The first chapter is written in such a way that the reader can’t help but continue reading it. This is one of the things that I liked about this book. There are many characters in this novel that enter at the points when they need to be involved. The chapters and characters are not fillers. They have a reason to be in this book and are bound to each other quite well. The plot is unique as I have already mentioned above. Traveling through a massive network of web and internet is something not achievable in the present time. But who knows maybe in the future we might step over this obstacle too. I’d like to praise the author for this thinking and coming up with such a great topic to write sci-fi. There are no grammatical mistakes in this book. There are a few typos here and there, but every book has it, so it can be ignored easily.

Now the thing that didn’t sit well with me was that I lost the will to read it when I was in the middle part of the book. I felt the urge to skip it because I felt like it was really senseless for the character to do what he was doing. If you’re reading the book or have already read it, you’ll know what I’m talking about. But this mistake of his becomes one of the reasons to write the second installment for this trilogy. So it was a bittersweet thing. Apart from that, there’s nothing about this book that I didn’t like.

The development of the protagonist through the chapters is written precisely. I’m definitely going to read the second installment of this book and hope that the trilogy and the author get the name and success they deserve.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I’m giving this book 4 stars because of all the above reasons. This novel can be read by readers of all age. I would especially recommend this book for all the sci-fi fans. If you’ve read it then good but if you haven’t, then you better add this one to your to-read list.
