I totally agree with you Mishy. If the scene is well written you can feel the character's anticipation, desire and lust.mishy wrote:Yep especially when I've been waiting for those two characters to hook up

Actually I would take it back to "The Story of O" by Pauline Reage (Anne Desclos).NenniferO77 wrote:If you want to test those waters, you can always read Fifty Shades of Gray.... if that doesn't do it for you then you can safely say that you are one that doesn't get turns on by books. WARNING: This book is explicit- I would rename book one 'S&M for Dummies'. Your inner child may scream. Other than that... enjoy!

I love reading erotica. In fact I used to write erotic short stories and poems in my college days and sold them. In light of the question I truly believe age and where you are with your sexuality is whether when you read something you get turned on by the material and how it is presented.

Completely agree. The Story of O was exquisite. BDSM at its best.

I'm Italian so I naturally get turned on by sensuous, erotic, graphical descriptions of food. We are talking about food? Right?

Then there is Puppy Porn...for those of us dog obsessed...it's when you go on the adoption sites and just look at all the sweet pretty faces...knowing the two hippos you already have are all you can handle...but just to look...

yes, it does. And in the case of a couple books, like Anne Rice's book Exit To Eden, I found myself turned on and then stopped...looked at what had me all revved up...and thought GEEZ! There are things in literature and/or fantasy that might get a reaction but in real life would not be an option.
After I loaned that book out to a co-worker I found out that works for both genders as well.
