Every book has a world of its own. Its own beautiful tale and time a person can live in.

I love reading because it is a whole new world in-between pages. So much fodder for my imagination. Also reading enhances the creative side of our brain.

I like reading because it takes me out of my current life and situation and plops me down in another setting, as another person. I love this aspect of it, it's like freedom most of the time. I also really love closing a book after I'm done with it... it makes me feel really accomplished LOL

I like reading because I feel it keeps my mind active and lively. I also feel like I am having a conversation with friends from all over the world. It helps me know there are many other people who are like me and go through some of the same things. Reading gives me courage and makes me a better person.

I like reading to challenge my view of the world. It's easy to get stuck in our own perspective/belief pattern, and a good book can alter your interpretation of life. There are also some words that go well together, both in appearance and sound.

I love reading, it gives me a wider perspective of life, and as a way of everyday learning especially to the informative educative books. I like non-fiction books that make me learn new things every day.

Ahh, so many reasons actually. But the main reasons i think for me is I want to experience and feel, a story, an adventure or a life. But reading also calms me down, gives me a break from real life, gets my creativity flowing and lets me fall in love time and time again!

Probably because it takes me to an entirely different world far far away from the reality.

I had always wanted to learn the English language since I was a child. My aunt told me that for me to learn, apart from learning from school, I should read English stories, books, articles. That’s when I fell in love with reading. That’s one of the many reasons, among other things.

As a lot people have said i used like reading because of the escape it offered me when I battled depression.

But now I just love reading because its a great way to see the way others think. There's an individuality about peoples writings that is amazing when you see it.
That I learn great things on the way is a definite bonus for me.
For me, For man & For God.

Scott wrote: 19 Aug 2007, 12:05 We all like reading. In fact, most of us would probably say that we love reading.

Why do you like it so much? What is it about reading that attracts you to it?

I think I like reading because it allows me to hear from people who have something important to say. You can read from the best thinkers no matter where they are or even when. I'm amazed by the fact that I can go to the book store and buy hours of reading material written by someone who lived hundreds or even thousands of years ago.

What about you?
I love books because they are an escape. They can take me to another place, time or perspective. They can teach me new concepts and broaden my mind. I love how they can be a time capsule and they can preserve important information to be passed down to future generations.

I like reading because it is my form of "me time," allowing me to relax and leave the rest of the world behind, if even for a just a little while.
