Superhero movies in your country?!

Post by Digvi Paul »

Superhero movies are on the rise this last decade or two. Apart from Marvel and DC universe, others have started to create their own Superhero universe.

There are plenty in my country itself. I'm kinda enjoying the trend somewhat.
What about yours?
Can you introduce some good superhero movies from your home country?!?

Italy has no tradition of superheroes, so the greatest example in Italian cinema is a homage to a Japanese manga / anime in the movie Lo chiamavano Jeeg Robot, which seems to have been distributed abroad.

I am a Filipino-American who now lives in the United States. However I can give you one popular super-heroine from the Philippines. Her name is DARNA. Her human alter-ego is NARDA. When NARDA swallows the white stone, her source of power, and shouts DARNA, she transforms into a extraterrestrial warrior with superhuman strength. There are several DARNA movies produced in the Philippines.
