Yes, that is one of the great parts of this book, with the different backgrounds of the girls every reader probably finds someone to relate to.

Yes, that is true, the author did a good job. That is a good point. That is pretty much how it works in real life, too. Sadly, in real life experiences (especially the bad ones) can sometimes also break relationships.
