The author's years of research, experience, and collaborative efforts with others paid off in this piece, indeed. This book turned out different from what I initially expected it to be, but I do hope you'd read and find it as worthwhile as I did. Thank you for dropping by and sharing your thoughts.

Best of all a fine and fun story. I would actually give it about 3.5 stars rather than 4, only because the story within the story; while central to the direction of the book, was a bit long and fanciful and I wanted back to the tale of Tom, William, Myra and Sarah (and Sergei). My thanks to Charlie Sheldon!
Real life could also become as long and tedious that this book seemed to approximate and convey. Whether that's accidental or intentional is a thought to ponder, but I'd go with the latter. I understand that we all have our unique perspectives and choices, though. That doesn't mean that only one is right and all others are wrong or vice versa.

I could only imagine the skirmishes between Sarah and Tom, being maybe even humorous at times. I even wonder how Sarah became orphaned if she indeed has living family..it is very possible. I could read this one.

The author's years of research, experience, and collaborative efforts with others paid off in this piece. Your question is one thought to ponder as well, indeed, and the answer may be as enigmatic as could be in reality. This book turned out different from what I initially expected it to be, but I do hope you'd fully read and find it as worthwhile as I did after a significantly closer look. I'm looking forward to reading Adrift as well and I do hope all will be a pleasant reading journey as well. Thank you for dropping by and sharing your profound thoughts.Shas F wrote: ↑21 Nov 2018, 03:24 Strong Heart by Charlie Sheldon is a mystery drama on identity and a journey of discoveries about oneself and one's place in the world. I have Adrift by Sheldon and he writes drama well. This strange drama starts with a 13-year-old girl at the doorstep of Tom Olsen. Ruth, Olsen's ex-wife tells him Sarah is his granddaughter. She is surly and doesn't want to be with Tom at the end of the world. But she ends up accompanying his group on a trek through the mountains. Shouldn't Olsen be calling child services? Try this book! After having read the review by Espie, I now sense that this book taps into narratives seen through the lens of science and embodied through the characters Myra and Sergie and mysticism. Espie writes: "It will appeal to those who are open to be enticed by a unique blend of pragmatic consciousness and imaginative mysticism." Thanks Espie, you have conveyed how uniquely written this tale is and have convinced me to give this book more than a peek. Congratulations to Charlie Sheldon for this interesting work!

This is a story with the theme of adventure in the natural surroundings of the Pacific Northwest and North Pacific region. Human emotions are also a significant aspect of this story. Sarah visits her grandfather Tom and they begin an adventurous journey together. The story is written in an intriguing manner. Cheers![]()
