Sherine Anniruth, a writer of the book The Ultimate Love , is a wife of Vinash and mother of three siblings. Unfortunately, she encountered the unexpected death of one of her child which tremendously affected her physically, emotionally, and spiritually but later on her son began to show signs of presence. Her eldest son, Nadeem Rajah, passed away due to illness, therefore she has used a variety of coping strategies over the years which helps her to become a writer. After four years of sorrow after Nadeem's death, she began writing this book as a form of healing that immensely comforted her.

Grief is like a tidal wave wherein it never ends but it does change through time. In humans, people tend to experience grief after a loss of a loved one, yet as time passed-by it may transform us by embracing the sense of healing and hope. Healing initiates when we start to understand the importance of grief and sadness. It is also necessary to assess the situation using a grieving toolbox through the openness of one’s mind, heart, and body, repetition, and perseverance to encounter joy and satisfaction in life.

This book The Ultimate Love aims to serve readers who have had similar experiences in coping with and overcoming the grieving process with optimism and new learning about future possibilities. It is alright to sincerely express emotions in any means we can because grieving is frustrating and difficult to bear. Silence is not an effective form of healing is one of the strategies which struck me the most. Subsequently, people should speak up to a partner to alleviate the baggage of emotions being carried in the healing journey, specifically grief naturally felt with anger and despair. However, I was not able to evaluate any negative aspects of the book.

Considering that I find this book interesting, inspirational, and useful, I will give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars because it primarily focuses on the importance of grieving and managing to grieve after the loss of a loved one. Several exercises and hobbies were also provided such as writing, music, painting, and many more. Not everyone has similar interests, thus it is important to know oneself during the healing process. Furthermore, I did not encounter any grammatical errors so the book is well-edited.

It is recommended to those readers who have an interest in self-help, motivational and spiritual books. This book also contains religious content wherein the connection between God and oneself will be carefully explained as the healing journey continues.
