The book opens with beautiful quotes that encourage not only children and their innocence but also the child in every adult reader. You'll find many of these wonderfully distilled, powerful quotes at the end of the book as well.

The book Stevie Tenderheart Books: A Second Kiss Goodnight is authored by Steve William Laible. Stevie is the sweetheart of this book. According to the author, he constantly seems to find mischief, or perhaps mischief finds him. When I read this about Stevie, I was excited and expected to have a lot of fun reading the pages ahead, and I can say that the book lived up to its promise.

The author has written about 18 books, some of which have illustrations. With this latest book, the author aims to offer kids a unique experience. He suggests that the kids close their eyes and fully immerse themselves in the story while it is being read. The reader is also encouraged to let out their inner child and truly engage with the book. Ultimately, the author hopes to help children develop and strengthen their imagination skills.

Stevie, like most children, becomes more alert and energetic at bedtime and hatches up a plan. He loves his bed. It is his favorite place to be, for it is from here that he is transported to his fantastic world of dreams. The book is a fun-filled adventure that opens up Stevie's neighborhood. Stevie's dreams are brought to life by the writing style that elicits giggles and laughter. Get your copy to find out what Stevie does to make the most of his bedtime routine.

A bedtime story with a fairy tale premise and a cute twist was a great choice. I enjoyed the author's playful writing style and the book's small, easy-to-digest sections with interesting information about various animals, birds, and creatures. The best thing is that the book is entertaining, offers regular little notes for the kids, and leaves a feel-good vibe. Reading with voice modulations and sound effects will enhance the impact of the amazing content. Kids will want you to read this book to them over and over again each night. All a child needs is to feel loved, and the storyline ensures that this aspect is beautifully taken care of. I also adored how the author helped strengthen the bond between kids and their parents.

I have read the book and can confidently say that it has been professionally edited with just one error. I loved the cover, basic storyline, writing style, and fun elements in the book. However, I would also admit that readers who are expecting a book with colorful illustrations will be disappointed. Considering that the book is targeted at an age group of 4–10 years, they may, at some point, want to try reading their favorite book themselves. Although I understand that the book is meant to encourage vivid imagination, the fact that it is devoid of any illustrations or color made me feel like something was missing. I believe that including some illustrations inside the book would enhance its value. Due to this reason, sadly, I am compelled to reduce my rating to 4 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book for families with kids. It is an ideal bedtime storybook that parents will enjoy reading as much as their children will enjoy listening to. It would make an excellent gift.

This was such a lovely book. I really loved the front cover. I could clearly imagine everything the author described, like the street and the animals entering his room through the window. But yes, younger kids would probably enjoy it even more if there were some pictures inside. Great review as always, @Seetha E.
