I love to travel through when I read a book. My favorite series would be The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness. Throughout the story, you travel from different continents and different periods of time. The way she describes each detail, makes you feel like you are actually there in the room.

I believe as far as the book is interesting and informative may it be I have visited the place nor not, I do enjoy the book. What interests me much is the descriptions made in the book; the entertaining part of the book.

Of course, that is why books exist in the first place. It gives you the chance to bludgeon your monotonous reality and give you this glimpse of this far off fantastic land.

I love reading about places I've never been. It increases my knowledge since most often I get to see their culture and believes explored in details. I guess that's why I read, to increase my knowledge and broaden my horizons

Books that have places which I've never been to are interesting to me but I find hard to submerge myself in the setting the story is taking place because it's hard to imagine the setting unless the author did a good job as describing the setting then it makes it a bit easier to imagine the setting. Though on the other hand if the setting is based on fanasty it's more enjoyable to imagine.

It's really interesting to read novels about places. It is an amazing way to escape reality through imagination. And with these imaginations, it makes me wanna visit those places I've never been to. It's like visiting this certain place in your imagination.

I love reading about places I've never been, especially when it is obvious the author knows the place, culture and people well. Different traditions, different ways of thought are always challenging. I usually end up Googling the place and checking out all the images. Of course, there is the other places I shall never go to ... sharing an author's imagination and dropping in on cultures that (maybe) exist only there! Robert Heinlein postulated that every story created its own universe. Think of visiting your favourite places!

"In books we enter a world that is not entirely our own". This has been what has been a compass for the books I love to read. The more foreign the setting, the better the story.

I enjoy reading about places I've never been. I love to travel, but unfortunately it takes money and time. There are just too many places I want to visit to get to them all. That is what I love about reading books about places I've never traveled; I get to go to these places and save myself some money. Unfortunately, it can also add to my list of places I want to travel to. I love the idea of using Google images to view the described places; I have never done that, but will definitely check it out when I read my next book!
