I usually don't mind erotic scenes if they are written well, but from the lines you quoted I'm not sure I would enjoy these. I think the scenes are better if the author focuses on the emotions and sensations the characters are feeling, rather than discussing their "tight buds" or "members". The terminology they use is sometimes comical.

There was too much thought. I have not finished the book but I have seen so many examples. The author was trying to be classy and just thought too hard. I like adult scenes but these are a bit much.

If you ask me, if you are religious and moral then go find "religious and moral books" suitable to your test. Otherwise I agree, authors should stop sugarcoating erotic scenes. But some use phrases to make it romantic.

In as much as I hate the erotic scene, they must be incorporated into the novel. They are the happenings in the society today. A good novel reflects the society as it is.

I thought the style of these scenes was consistent with the rest of the story. However, I do find myself laughing when reading them, and I do not think that was what the author was going for...

My 2 cents on sex in books, if the author puts them in, that's their prerogative. But when listing the book, especially on Amazon, there should be an appropriate age rating attached. Amazon gives a broader range than simply 18+, so the author can list it as 13+, 14+, or whatever without dooming it to the adult pile. Children are browsing Amazon, and children do read. The fine-tuned age rating is a tool that audiences didn't have a generation ago, and they're something writers should use to make sure there aren't any angry parents leaving 1-star reviews because of the age-inappropriate material.

I think erotic scenes should only be prolonged in pure erotic books, and not in other genres. When written in romance, drama or action, they should be shortened because they tend to be boring because some authors basically repeat previous chapters' erotic situations.

Personally, I don't think the length of the scenes is an issue...it is the terrible, cliche vocabulary that was used. It read like a romance novel for 1988 about the highlander bedding the lass with his quivering member. It was just tacky and brought down the rest of the book. The author needed to have someone proofread those scenes for her and she needed to listen to feedback about them.

As for me this erotic scenes are sometimes barriers for me to finish reading books but for this I will choose either to skip or read.

Some people get offended when acts of intimacy are described elaborately. The author might have just been trying to avoid offence.

For me I think it makes the book more understandable, because using the erotic scenes makes it more lively and sweet

I definitely agree. Honestly, it wasn't the sex scenes between humans that really got to me, but the fact they actually went into detail with the wolves.

erotic scenes are always interesting and capturing in mind when written in simple and clear words . Straight to the point is the key rather than tiring readers with what you might be meaning.

Honestly, I enjoy erotic scenes in many books. However, I agree that the writing made the scenes in this story uncomfortable.

I enjoyed them (lol). However kids should stay away from them.
