No wonder the suspicious jam scene felt ominous! It led to a good result though - superpowers. It seems to be a well-told story inspite of the short length.
You have a point about the character reacting unnaturally to the sudden change.

Thank you for a great honest review. A superhero, a villain and a power hungry professor sounds like an enjoyable story to read. I like the fact he uses detective skills more than his power. It is a bit unbelievable that everyone just accepts he has super powers and not freak out even a little bit.
