I'm a huge fan of the whole superhero thing, so this sounds like a book I would really enjoy. Great review!

I don't really think I'm up for reading a superhero story, which is why I appreciate that you mentioned this is more of a mystery story. I don't mind that the main character's powers are accepted so easily by everyone, so I'm excited to read the free sample. Great review!

No wonder the suspicious jam scene felt ominous! It led to a good result though - superpowers. It seems to be a well-told story inspite of the short length.
You have a point about the character reacting unnaturally to the sudden change.

Thank you for a great honest review. A superhero, a villain and a power hungry professor sounds like an enjoyable story to read. I like the fact he uses detective skills more than his power. It is a bit unbelievable that everyone just accepts he has super powers and not freak out even a little bit.

Thanks Guy Cook.

I love your enthusiasm of this book. It really makes me want to read it. I can understand how it would be challenging to read about so many references to a place that you've never been to. But I'm glad that this book really seems so educational on the culture front. Great review!

Great review! I don't normally care for superhero-style books, but I like your comment that the book is more of a mystery than about superheroes. The first line of your review really captured my interest. Off to read the sample!

This sounds like a fascinating book! I like that his super powers weren't the main focal point of the story and am intrigued with the historical side of Winchester. I love history, travel, and scientifically sound novels. Great work on the review!

THe sample was certainly great fun, though I found the language and writing a bit stilted. I think the book could probably benefit from a solid editing.

It sounds like the CW's version of Flash. I'm actually kinda intrigued about the references to England and find myself wanting to read this book. Congratulations to you and the author.

Guy Cook's Culture Man basically revolves around Rob and his efforts to protect cultural artifacts in Winchester from being stolen. Does this make him a culture man? From the review, the book sounds interesting.

Am curious on how he felt on getting the super powers & what happened to Marianne. The pages are also very few to read in a few days
