I'm curious about The Lake Moraine Phenomenon and why the northern pike fish is no longer there. Since the book is written in the first person and is a short read, I'd like to check it out and see if I might enjoy it. Thanks for your review!

I'm not sure this book interesst me as such, but I do hope the Government will not play politics with peoples lives just to generate revenue of some sort. This story could pass for a movie if well developed. Thank you for a thorough review.

The book's description reminded me of the pirhana movie. Human interference with the balance in nature will definitely offset a reaction from wildlife. The extent of that is what we will find out in due time. A captivating storyline that I may just pick up. Thank you for an engaging review.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting story told by two old fishermen to three college students how a local pond's northern pike population turned into man-eaters and are now no longer in the lake. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

This sounds like an interesting story that carries a message and warning for us as humans to be careful of the impact we have on our environments. Thanks for the thorough review!

Sounds like a good one. The economy or humanity is a choice that has made a lot of people pissed off as the former seems to carry the day more times than expected. Congrats to the author for the BOTD title.

I have always wondered about the possible side effects of pollution on the ecosystem and this book definitely brings something to ponder about. The northern pike fish phenomenon must have been an interesting take on evolution due to contamination of water bodies. The book is definitely a must read for me.

My first association with the word "Northern" is the word "lights", while seeing it on book cover makes me think about Vikings. But I was very disappointed and mistaken because this book mean it as fish. So not my thing, that I will have to pass this one, but would like to congratulate the author on BOTD!

I've never heard of the northern pike fish; it would be nice to learn more about it. However, I don't support the theory of evolution, whether fiction or nonfiction, so I will likely pass on this book. Thanks for the review.

I have to admit that at first glance, this book didn't look like something I would be interested in reading. However, after reading the first few chapters, I was captivated. It reminded me of stories my grandpa would tell me when I was a kid. I thoroughly enjoyed the author's writing style. It really took me back to my life in the country from years past. Thanks for the great review!

What have we done to the fish? Has humanity's neglect of the environment gone too far? This is scary. From what I've read about the pike, it could very well be called "Little Jaws."

This story reminds me of one of, and could evolve to, one of those man-eating fish movies like "Killer Fish". The story itself is cautionary, and we really have to be careful of how we treat the environment. I like the camaraderie between the two friends. Thanks for a lovely review.
