I think it took a lot of courage to try and rewrite very key stories in the Bible even if the additions are just your own imagination. I like the book because the author was daring. I would recommend it to anyone who is willing to have his faith challenged

The book gives a fictional account of the book of genesis. It has a lot to offer and is well written. Readers must understand however that it is the authors own perspective given within the novel. I would recommend this book to readers who have interests in parenting and story lovers! Overall would rate this 3 out of 4 stars.

Mstrtim wrote: 06 Jun 2020, 12:44 I'm about halfway through the book and part of me simply wants to stop reading it altogether. The concept is good, the writing is good, but the presentation is totally awful with Adam and Even and their numerous children speaking as if they hold advanced degrees. Plus, anachronisms abound. But I'll power through, finish it and write a complete review.
I look forward to reading your review. I am about to submit mine, and give it two stars since I wasn't very impressed with the overall reading experience.

I have read the book. The author gives an account of that famous story of the beginning of human evolution in a very dramatic way. He really does that with Olympian detachment. I particularly love the way he presents the death of Abel. He presents it in a way that makes it consistent with the fact that, Abel is a hero of faith.

"Killing Abel" by Michael Tieman is generally about the events that took place from the time of Adam and Eve to Noah.

The one thing that I like about this book is the author's clearly depiction of God as a loving father. There isn't anything I dislike about the book as it is well written and informative on the historical events that happened from the time of Adam and Eve to the time of Noah.

I recommend this book to every Christian irregardless of the age who would want to learn more about the events that took place at the time of Adam and Noah.

I'm yet to read the book, but I'm drawn in by the fact that it completes the original Bible passages. I feel the book will help answer some questions that always crop up after reading the Bible. I believe this will help in giving more understanding. I commend the author.

I'm very eager to read the book. There are always questions that pop up whenever I get to read the Bible. I believe the book will help in filling in those gaps and give a better understanding to the passages. This is a very bold and creative book. I commend the author.

I read this book a while back and I wasn't impressed. It was interesting for the author to fill in the blanks of biblical text with his own imagination and creativity. However, the content struggled to hold my attention. I'm afraid this wasn't the book for me. I'm glad others have enjoyed it, though!

Bible stories - do I read this book? I am not a religious person and a Hindu. So I am really wondering if this book will be interesting enough for me. Any suggestions?

I don't feel like you have to be a Christian to enjoy the book. It helps if you're familiar with the stories of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Noah and the ark. But the author gives the biblical background also in the book. I am agnostic with Christian background and did not terribly enjoy the book, but plenty of others do.

I've not yet read this book but as a Christian and someone who grew up to Bible stories, I can tell this is promising. I'm looking forward to how the author wrote the book, how he perceives Cain's point of view through his imagination.

The book is interesting and overall a good read, but I think it should be taken with a grain of salt to those who read it that are not very religious since this book has a lot of fiction, it is not a very accurate representation of Christianity.
