The book was so spiritually enlightening. As I read I could feel like I was having a better understanding of the scripture. I will definitely recommend this book to my mum, she loves reading spiritual books and she will absolutely find this book uplifting.

I rate the book as interesting and etremely helpful. However I won't recommend this book to non-religious people because it can give them another perspective or what Christianity really is.

I'm giving the book 3 out of 4 stars since it was well-written. Truthfully, however, I did not enjoy this book. I realize that the author took license to fill in the gaps left out by Scripture. However, he made God look like he really didn't know anything, as though God had to keep figuring things out. What happened to God's omniscience? In addition, there were a number of gaps which the author took the liberty of filling that didn't sit well with me.

I think it is a nice book. Even though the Bible is sacred, the author simply used his own wits to create something people can relate with.

Raised in a religious setting, I'm always instinctively sceptical towards things which might be slightly contradictory to the Bible, but then, that only fuels my interest.

I'm certainly encouraged by all the reviews, and I'll try to get a copy for myself.

This is what I was cautious of. There's always going to be some discomfort when it comes to books dealing with topics as personal as religion.

I'm getting the feeling that this might be a bit misleading for the non and newly religious, but then, suggesting that the reader to through the entire Bible beforehand seems equally risky.

In the end, people will take from it what they will. Same as the Bible. So it's all a matter of the reader.

I totally agree with you. People are going to have different viewpoints with regard to various religious topics. Even among Christians, there will be multiple beliefs about things such as perception of God, salvation, Scripture, etc. I try to be open to differing ideas, but this book seemed to keep reiterating the same facet of God, which completely went against my view of God.

Yeah, the contradiction can be difficult to deal with.

I had a hard time not being offended with Hollywood's various depictions of God and Jesus.

But it all comes down to the subjectivity of religion. I don't think any two people see God the same, and while we try to accept other people's versions, some people admittedly go way off.

I would say, the author took his time to come up with such an educative piece traced back from the holy book. Reading the book is no different from experiencing real events as they take place. I would recommend it to anyone who values and enjoy reading.

I would recommend this book to people who already have existing knowledge of the Christian faith and would like to add on to it. To those who are oblivious to the Bible's teachings may find it hard to grapple and comprehend the concept of the book.
Moreover, the book in general is pretty good. It has some very deep elements conjoined with faith and it gives good reasoning for it. I would recommend this book for all faiths because it doesn't disregard any other religion - it mainly only talks about Christianity. The book also imparts some valuable lessons for life and inspires the reader to view the blessings of life rather than look at the negative aspects of it.
All in all, great piece of work, I really enjoyed it.

Finished the book and submitted my review a couple of hours ago. Really enjoyed this book. I think the author has put a tremendous amount of time and effort into the book with regard to research, fact-checking, and putting everything together. I rated it a 4 out of 4 stars - loved it!

I haven't read this book yet, but it's one to read. Although I've seen various topic and post about the book, with some readers pondering on the authors concepts, I suspect the book to be intriguing.
