Although I'm a huge fan of sci-fi, especially dystopian themed, and the book's premise is interesting, I found the sample to be poorly written and quite confusing. For example, where did it say that Calvin is eleven? "Helpful" and powerful objects seem just conveniently to show up, *poof* without explanation. I like the idea of an alien who has come to earth teaming up with a child rather than an adult, but the writing needs a lot of work before I would be interested in reading it. Still, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the review!

Wow, I never would've guessed that plot from its title. It makes it interesting, though; I want to know the meaning behind it. I don't know what to expect from this story and have no theories on how it might end. Let's see how it goes.
