Indeed world-building is one of its strong points!

Misael wrote: 09 Mar 2020, 06:59 Reading science fiction books specificallly those that deal with aliens and futuristic worlds has always been a challenge for me because of the barrage of unfamiliar terms and names and what have yous. This novel seemed carefully thought out and well written so I am tempted to try this one.
Amazon's sample can give you an idea of this novel's linguistic complexity.

Your review is interesting and gives great pointers for sci-fi readers who want to give this book a chance. Good job!
Thank you for your appreciation. :)

A tread with a few aliens wouldn't be bad at all after reading so much non fiction books. Your review makes it look like a really action packed piece.

Ms Vinkel wrote: 09 Mar 2020, 07:31 With 6 chapters for free reading, this book's sample is generous. It gave me some Isaac Asimov feels when I read some hints of feminism. While I'm doubtful of the main villain's character (Umlac didn't appeal to me), I'll still add this on my to-read list.
NetMassimo wrote: 23 Jan 2020, 08:05 The novel contains no profanities and there are only very mild sexual innuendos between two human characters, so anybody can read it.
Thank you so much for the review! I only read the sample so the reassurance of no profanities is a plus.
Thank you for your appreciation. Have fun! :)

I am generally not a fan of science fiction but this may be an interesting read. Great review with the right amount of highlights.
Thank you for your appreciation. :)

This book sounds like a book in the grand tradition of Space Opera from the Golden Age of Science Fiction, and reminds me particularly of E. E. 'doc' Smith's works. The diversity of alien races and characters sounds just like his Lensman series, however, according to the review, this book sounds like it is wriiten much better! I am looking forward to reading this, as I love the theme of alien races with advanced technologies. Your review is marvellously descriptive and informative.

Doc Smith inspired generations of writers, but throughout the decades science fiction has become more sophisticated. Thank you for your appreciation. :)

When brilliant world-building is merged with a medley of well-developed characters, the end result is always a masterpiece. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the story.
