Thanks for the review. I enjoy finding new worlds and universes that are well developed and it sounds like this one is.

Reading the book review made me interested in the novel. I'm actually not a fan of sci-fi, but now I feel like I should give the book a try

The review was interesting but I am not much of a sci-fi fan. The plot summary also doesn't captivate me. Thank you.

Sounds like an interesting space themed thriller with a great plot.

Reading science fiction books specificallly those that deal with aliens and futuristic worlds has always been a challenge for me because of the barrage of unfamiliar terms and names and what have yous. This novel seemed carefully thought out and well written so I am tempted to try this one.

Sci-fi is not a genre that I read at all or heardly ever. So, I don't know much about it and I heard about space opera but I really don't know much. Your review is interesting and gives great pointers for sci-fi readers who want to give this book a chance. Good job!

I've enjoyed a few space and alien stories. This one sounds promising. I like that the reader learns about different aliens at the same time the characters do.

Reading the review, it felt like Star wars, yes different in a way. But the words, Space and sci-fi, I move off to a galaxy far far away... The review sounds great. I would like to read it, probably after my current book though.
Congrats on being selected as BOTD!

With 6 chapters for free reading, this book's sample is generous. It gave me some Isaac Asimov feels when I read some hints of feminism. While I'm doubtful of the main villain's character (Umlac didn't appeal to me), I'll still add this on my to-read list.

Thank you so much for the review! I only read the sample so the reassurance of no profanities is a plus.

The term 'space opera' kind of scares me away. However, science fiction definitely suits me. Maybe I'll give it a try. Thanks for the review!

I learned quite a bit from this review as I had no idea there was a sub-genre called space opera. The sample of the book I read seemed well written. Quickly we learned a great deal about the character and the setting without feeling overloaded with details.

I find the development of the characters, human and nonhuman, is generally difficult but I agree with you on how well the author was able to execute the skill. I am generally not a fan of science fiction but this may be an interesting read. Great review with the right amount of highlights.

The review is very well done and I can see that you're an absolute sci-fi fan. However, as I was reading the sample pages I felt like I was dropped in the middle of the book - I couldn't make heads or tails of what was going on and the violence right from the start was a bit off-putting for me. Congrats on BOTD though.

For lovers of science-fiction and the elusive space-opera genre, this sounds like an excellent read. Between the world-building, the engaging story, and the interesting characters, the author has created a great addition to the canon.
