'Sent to Watch by David J. Lebenstein is a science fiction book about an Interplanetary Intelligence Service interested in watching the developments of different "Earths," about 52 in all.'
52 earths? What theory are they proposing in this book?

This book presents an idea where there are many Earths with left-handed inhabitants. Now the interest is on the Earth with right-handed inhabitants. I'm interested in knowing why the agents sent there got into trouble.

The story is more exciting to read because it is full of complicated human experiences and complex emotions. In a plain manner, the book discusses human tendencies toward selfishness and self-centeredness. The concept of addressing the serious problems we face in a made-up narrative is original and brilliant. To bring attention to international issues, these kinds of stories are worthwhile to read. A novel that is worth reading.

Good detailed review! I am not a fan of sci-fi/fantasy books. for those who are, this sounds like a promising read. I am glad that you liked the book.

I'm not so much a fan of science fiction and fantasy books. Maybe because they seem unrealistic to me, like the idea of an earth where everyone is left-handed or right-handed. I chuckled at that one.
However, reading through the review, I paid attention to the issues the plot underscores, such as unity of purpose as against self-interest. It's a given that selfish human interest can never foster unity of purpose. I'm glad that 'Sent to Watch' by David J. Lebenstein could hold its own for all it is a fantasy read, and I acknowledge its well-detailed arrangement.

The review is well detailed and very helpful to the reader to know what they read.
The idea of multiple Earths often makes an interesting stories, and I think this is one of them, especially since it sheds light on human selfishness. Congrats on BOTD

The book’s exploration of selfish human interests and the division of unity for personal gain offers a poignant commentary on our own world. This reflection adds a layer of depth to the story, making it not just an entertaining read but also a thought-provoking one that resonates with real-world dynamics.

The idea of being left handed and right handed on respective earths was really a creative approach to this plot and I would love to learn more about Unni as I find the character interesting.

The author’s narrative style, which effectively switches between different names and identities, is both engaging and innovative. This technique adds to the story’s intrigue and helps to keep the reader fully engaged, making it a standout feature of the book.

Fantastic review, Chinaza! I sampled the opening episode with Major Weatherby and Lt. Greenfield leaving the pub and ascending a UFO. Your review has put this episode in perspective, so I know what to expect from their interplanetary surveillance mission. Your enthusiastic, positive comments on the quality of this book are intriguing, and I agree that it feels like a riveting read.
