I like that this book has a definite ending. To me, it can be read as a standalone. I felt a little bit sensitive to the children characters just like the reviewer. Although there are some real life situations like that but I wish it doesn't happen anywhere in the world.

Based on the cover, I wouldn't have thought of it as harry potter meets game of thrones. It looks more like a Holly Black kind of book

I always find it quite spectacular, the level of imagination that goes into this type of fantasy novel. There is also great skill in being able to present a story like this so that it appeals to both young and older readers equally. This author seems to have done just that. Thanks for this excellent review.

I really like that the reviewer gives an honest opinion of the book even regarding the violence and sexual innuendo. On my part I'd still love to read this one. In fact I'd love to get a hold of the whole series!! I'm an ardent fan of such books and would not pass up an opportunity to sample one. Great review.

This fantasy novel with adventure is very interesting. Although there are negative thoughts like teenagers dealing with murder, I'm still interested in the story of this book. Thanks for the great review!

Your review has given me mixed feelings, as I want to read, or not. The book seems to be one I would like, but I don’t think I want to read about children, in this situation.

This sounds like my type of book, I love the adventure and fast paced life style. I guess the author was trying to consider readers who doesn't like lengthy books. I hope it worth it.
