Review of the Pilgrim
The Immortality Wars: The Pilgrim by Keith Carreiro is a sci-fi work that revolves around a talented warrior whose exceptional make-up, skills, and qualities attracted a lot of enemies who were greedy for the value and valuables he possessed. This warrior is called Pall.
Who is this man? What are these exceptional qualities? Who are these sets of greedy people? Was he able to scale through? What became of him? This adventurous and highly inspiring book will enlighten you.
Though I have many favorite characters in this wonderful book, my favorites are Arya and his wife, Sahana. They are such a set of humans one should have in his/her circle. They did everything in their power to protect Pilgrim even when they knew it was to their detriment; they still did what they felt was right, anyway. Such a kind and beautiful heart they have by their act of love against all odds.
My other favorite character was Ari. He is the epitome of faithfulness and utmost loyalty. His intelligence was mind-blowing, as he knew what to do. He is also such a trustworthy being. These attributes are worth imitating.
I got emotional as Arya and Sahana watched their home destroyed right before them. It was a trying time for the family, coupled with the fact that their kids were also adopted. It was a challenging one for them.
This book is for everyone who loves adventure and believes he/she is made for greatness. A man who is destined for greatness would have some traits of uniqueness and peculiarity, and these sterling qualities would attract a lot of enemies to him/her because they do not appreciate their uniqueness, thereby making them greedy for someone else's possession. Most times, the carriers of these virtues and values do not even know what they possess. It is very important to identify one's uniqueness in time to know how to protect them and keep them safe from the reach of enemies.
In conclusion, no matter how tough one's journey is, God is always right there to help by sending help just when one needs it. It is just left to know our mission and purpose about our vision.
The author did a great job as all pages were well numbered, and no typographical error was noticed while reading the book. The suspense is so strong that I was always looking forward to continuing reading anytime I dropped it. The plot is simple and easy to follow. For the reasons above, I am rating this book 5 out of 5. I found nothing to dislike in this book.
