Re: Official Review: Murder at Broadcast Park by Bill L. Evans
I read the preview pages. My comments are based just on those pages as I have not read the entire book.
First, the title interested and intrigued me because of my professional experience in the news media industries. Initially I thought the character Paul having the position was totally unrealistic. I wanted more background information on Paul and the station. I continued reading because of the writing being in third person, which I enjoy, and I was drawn into the story wondering what had happened.
After Paul found the body, the story moved quickly without enough depth for my liking. Three to four characters were brought into the story without enough background or description. I thought, "Why would Brad tell Paul to call 911 and then call his personal friend William Tracy? When does a detective friend interview a witness before the assigned officers or first officers on the scene?"
I felt the description of what happened in the editing room was not correct and wondered if the writer had newsroom experience or had done enough research.
I am stopping at this point because I do not want to be a spoiler.
I started reading with the thought of reviewing. However, I am interested in the outcome of the story so I intend to read the entire book.

From the beginning this book caught my intrest. Can't wait to continue reading to find out who murdered him and why.
