Thanks for the review. Taking into consideration the faults that the reviewer found while reading Almost Mortal, I might just still give it a read.

Sound interesting, intriguing and adventurous, though the lack of suspense might be a slow down. Thanks for the detailed review.

I look forward to reading this one. I am a sucker for travel or scenes/action that take place outside of the US - and with the addition of psychic abilities on top of a whodunnit mystery/thriller - count me in!

This book sounds appealing to me because of the varied subject matter. Most legal fiction does not cross over into other genres but this one sounds as though it does. I am intrigued at the dual stories and look forward to reading this book.

An interesting review, quite insightful yet not revealing. Though the reviewer is unimpressed with the ending, seems like a plot that is left open for interpretation. Wouldn’t mind reading this book. The

I read the sample before I read the review, so as to not taint my opinion. I love your thoughtful review, and I really loved the sample of the book, however, I am not a bit leary in reading. I think that I might go ahead and give it a try since I enjoyed the sample so much, but your thoughts will be in the back of my mind as I read. Thank you for the great review, and especially for not giving away spoilers.

The lack of suspense and the book's ending made it less perfect for me, but the execution of the overall story deserves more than a 2-star rating.
Being a crime novel and lacking suspense and thriller isn't a crime novel at all. Suspense and thriller are the most important ingredients in a crime book, so I don't agree with your rating. In other statements I agree with the reviewer especially on the character development view. Thank you for your valuable input!

Great review. I’m very intrigued by the way you explained the “two stories.” Sounds like something I need to check out.

The sentence, "The stories in the journal had more adventure and mystery about them." that you wrote in your review was what sold me on the book. Even if, "The lack of suspense and the book's ending made it less perfect" it seem the journals alone could carry the story.

Thank you for the review. I don't think I'll be interested in reading a story with a lawyer protagonist, although the second half around the indicted's perspective sounds much more interesting. I could also check how the author manages a known location in the country where I live, but I guess I will pass on this one.

This sounds like a well-crafted mystery with decent character development. It's impressive when we can't figure out the mystery until the reveal. Great review. Thanks.

Almost feel as if this could be a pedestrian read but for a small niggling feeling that that I might be wrong.
Plot doesn't look too unique asides X's journal stories, but like they say the taste of the pudding is in the eating.

This is a good review. It adds it's own mystery to the book that fits into the mystery category. But it does sound like it will be a good read.
