I am happy that the plot of the book is complex enough to keep one interested and turning one page after another without feeling convoluted. The fact that the possibility of either a supernatural or mundane causation of the disappearance still keeps one guessing definitely makes this a page-turner.
Many thanks for the review, @Poppy Drear.

This was a fantastic review! I really appreciate how you broke down the balance between supernatural and mundane possibilities in the mystery. It sounds like the book keeps the reader on edge, not knowing whether the disappearance was due to paranormal forces or a real-world criminal threat. I also like how you highlighted the pacing, with quieter moments that let the characters develop without losing tension. The immersive writing style and well-crafted settings, especially the haunted mansion and abandoned boat, make this even more appealing. Your enthusiasm for the book really shines through, and now I’m even more curious to check it out!

This book is full of intrigue. Did the renter get sucked into one of the mirrors? How did the renter go missing? I can't wait to read The Mirrors by E F Townsend.

I am excited to see that this book is part of a series because I really enjoy reading series. I am curious to see whether the ending supports paranormal activity or a more insidious culprit.

This book is like a horror like story. The author illustrate how Tori recalled a time she was a child and saw an old lady falling down but she did nothing just to gaze to a mirror. Now she feels weired after finding the same mirrors in Scott's house which she owns. She is having a hard time to prove her innocence after his tenant disappearance.
The mirrors seems to be having supernatural powers. I just like the book. It's so exciting and frightening.

The cover looks amazing. I love a good mystery thriller with a hint of supernatural. The plot seems promising. Stories about paranormal activity always intrigued me. Who could have been responsible for Scott's disappearance? Supernatural or clever murder crime? This might be worth a second look. Thank you for your honest and enthusiastic review.

Your review is very detailed and full of insight. A haunted house full of mirrors and a tenant has gone missing sounds mighty scary. I am a bit curious if the book mentions the house may have always been haunted before the tenant went missing. Though your review is very intriguing, this is one I know I will have to pass on. I do not take pleasure in horror stories or books about the supernatural. Sometimes these books become a bit gruesome, I have to put it down.

The Mirrors by E.F. Townsend is about Tori Hartley, who rents her old mansion to Scott Mallory. When Scott disappears, the police discover he was trying to contact a ghost using hundreds of mirrors. Tori, along with a paranormal detective Hal Breakspear, tries to unravel the mystery of Scott's disappearance, balancing between possible supernatural activities and real criminal motives.🪞📖

Toria is the protagonist of the book. This character has been renting a mansion that is curiously full of mirrors. Everything changes for her when one of the tenants disappears and she gets involved in solving the case. This is a story that develops at a constant pace, always maintaining an interesting suspense throughout the reading that promises to keep you from taking your eyes off the book.
