The cover art of this book is very eye-catching and it reminds me of “legend of the seeker”
The title is also really good as it isn’t very revealing.
The fact that a father murdered his son whom he was previously protective of is very intriguing even though there is a demon to blame I don’t think it’s all that simple.

Okay, this sounds amazing. I absolutely love the concept and even demons are added to the mix. I am curious as to why he had to resort to killing his own son though.
The review itself provides an excellent summary. I initially thought it was going to be a murder mystery, but then I read about the demons. I wonder how it all adds together. Thank you for the review!

Thanks for the thorough review. The book certainly starts with an intriguing plot and I like that aspect of it. However, "ghostly, frightening moments described in the scenes and bloody spectacles" as described by the reviewer are not my cup of tea.

I reviewed this book too. I didn't find it frightening, but I admit the imagination of the author is outstanding. Like you, I especially appreciated the funny moments, such as demons asking "what the hell?" . Some love scenes, as you mention, are pleasurable, but the first one between Ariel and Crighton caused me internal turmoil due to the lack of Ariel's consent.
As always your review is excellently-written, and you made a fantastic summary for a novel with so many subplots.

This sounds like an interesting book, and I am especially intrigued by the romance between Ariel and the demon. I don’t think I would like this book because of the potentially triggering events that take place.
