This is an amazing mystery fantasy thriller highlighting romance, arson, murder, investigation, confession, family, and supernatural entities. The book has a free sample on Amazon Kindle and has a well-written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats @4kaylin on the BOTD selection.

The romance between Crighton and Ariel sounds interesting, and the book sounds like it has a lot of page-turning excitement. However, I never read books about the supernatural or demons, so I will have to pass on this one. Thanks for the insightful review!

The devil would have to be involved for a father to kill his own son. Thank you for your review.

The cover art of this book is very eye-catching and it reminds me of “legend of the seeker”
The title is also really good as it isn’t very revealing.
The fact that a father murdered his son whom he was previously protective of is very intriguing even though there is a demon to blame I don’t think it’s all that simple.

I think the different perspective of the book sounds very intriguing. Also, I really enjoyed reading your review. I think both things merge the difference from this story. It is a nice exercise to present another's perspective.

Okay, this sounds amazing. I absolutely love the concept and even demons are added to the mix. I am curious as to why he had to resort to killing his own son though.
The review itself provides an excellent summary. I initially thought it was going to be a murder mystery, but then I read about the demons. I wonder how it all adds together. Thank you for the review!

Thanks for the thorough review. The book certainly starts with an intriguing plot and I like that aspect of it. However, "ghostly, frightening moments described in the scenes and bloody spectacles" as described by the reviewer are not my cup of tea.

I reviewed this book too. I didn't find it frightening, but I admit the imagination of the author is outstanding. Like you, I especially appreciated the funny moments, such as demons asking "what the hell?" :D . Some love scenes, as you mention, are pleasurable, but the first one between Ariel and Crighton caused me internal turmoil due to the lack of Ariel's consent.
As always your review is excellently-written, and you made a fantastic summary for a novel with so many subplots. :tiphat:

I totally love your review. You've brought out all the aspects in an intriguing manner. Am basically in love with supernatural and suspense. But the part of Poet killing his son somehow puts me off.

I find the concept of a supernatural mystery novel somewhere between romance and horror absolutely intriguing. I'm really interested in seeing where Crighton and Ariel go next!

This sounds like an interesting book, and I am especially intrigued by the romance between Ariel and the demon. I don’t think I would like this book because of the potentially triggering events that take place.
