I'm always fascinated by Mafia stories. The mysteries behind the inner workings of the "Mob" always make for a good crime thriller. You can actually pick this book up without reading its predecessor. The reader will be kept up-to-date on where the 1st book left off, which I think is a pretty neat idea. Great review.

This sounds like a great book. I love that the author has uses different literary elements to make it interesting. I would love to know if Frank succeeded in finding Biff Rollo's son and the forces he was up against. Thanks for a wonderful review. Congratulations BOTD.

This book sounds interesting. The mobsters in the Godfather story were very much likable and I would love to read a similar book with such characters. Nice work.

When reading the sample on Amazon, it was also my first thought: the author has a great idea starting with the summary of the previous book. This is a story I'd love reading, and I enjoy fast paced books.

An action-packed crime novel. It is the second book in the Frankie Fiore series. You can read standalone because there is a detailed summary at the beginning. Recommended for lovers of Italian Mafia crime novels in the style of the Godfather movie.

Your review is very handy.
I did not read the first series as well but from your review I know I can start from the second and not feel left out. I, however, frown at the jumpy pace of the books you mentioned. I thought one reason why books are written in series is to enable a slow but intriguing narration of events that build up the storyline.

I will definitely add this to my bookshelf.

While I am not a fan of mafia novels, this does sound like an interesting read. The plot sounds engaging and action packed, almost like it would make a good storyline. I would be willing to give this novel a chance, but I would have to read the first one first.

The review really makes me want to read it as it will be something different from what i usually read.
The title really hooks the reader and kind of leads you into a curious/suspension path.

Sounds like an interesting and action packed book. I liked the fact that you felt like part of the family reading it, but I think that the profanity would put me off. Thanks for the thorough review

Somehow, Frankie also strikes me as an interesting character. A pairing of suspense, action, humour and romance is quite a delight. Al Marsiglia has done great work, so did you. Great review.
