The Mirrors" by E.F. Townsend is a gripping mystery novel that follows Tori Hartley, who rents out a mansion in Old Louisville to Scott Mallory, who then mysteriously disappears. The police, finding little physical evidence, turn to Scott's blog, where he claims to have been trying to contact a ghost by hanging hundreds of mirrors throughout the house. Desperate to find her son, Scott's mother hires paranormal detective Hal Breakspear. Together, Tori and Hal investigate whether the house is truly haunted or if a real crime is being concealed. The novel blends elements of the supernatural with a classic whodunit

Thank you for insightful review. I read two books from the same author, and they were also in the same genre: supernatural mixed with thriller. I get your comment about the plot being captivating. His plots keep you on your toes, while it's also true that the characters are not well-developped.

Tori is shocked to find out that the mansion she rented out is full of mirrors. The renter was investigating the paranormal suspicion about the mirrors. Tori joins hands with Hal to unveil the mystery. As a plot-driven supernatural story with occasional relaxed moments in between, it keeps readers invested.

Tori was horrified with the news that the historical mansion that she put out for rent is filled with mirrors and may have a paranormal connection. She teams up with Hal to find out the truth about it. For an intense supernatural story, the love story between Hal and Tori is a breather for the readers.

This was a well written review which highlighted the strong points and weak points of the book. It definitely made me want to read the book, since I like supernatural content. The synopsis kind of reminds me of the movie mirrors with Keifer Sutherland.

This book masterfully balances supernatural intrigue with a grounded sense of realism, keeping readers engaged by allowing them to question whether the eerie occurrences have paranormal or logical explanations. This dual-layered mystery heightens the suspense and ensures that both supernatural and crime fiction fans find something to enjoy. Nice review.

"The Mirrors" by E F Townsend is a mystery involving supernatural phenomena. Tori owns a restored mansion on Belgravia Court in New York that she rents to tenants. Tori had one of her tenants, Scott Mallory go missing. Tori personally wants to solve this case and find out what happened to Scott. Having tenants disappear is not good for business and Tori cares about Scott’s welfare. Was it paranormal activity or cold-blooded murder? Tori also wants to solve the mystery to clear her own name. Scott’s mother hired Hal a paranormal investigator to help Tori find out what happened to Scott and if ghosts were involved. Scott had been trying to find and communicate with a ghost and had hung mirrors around his floor to help his quest to find and communicate with a ghost. Tori ends up investigating the case alongside Hal. This story has numerous mysteries and it will require courage and quick thinking for Tori to determine what really happened. I enjoy paranormal stories and I want to learn the answers to this mystery.

A great review for a great book. I didn't know there was such a thing as a paranormal detective. I've heard about using mirrors to see ghosts, but I wonder how. This is definitely going to be a thrilling read.

One of Tori's renters goes missing, which is already a mystery, but finding the historical mansion she'd been renting out full of mirrors and the renter's link to the supernatural adds another intriguing twist to the story. Thanks for the review!
