It sounds like a full packed story with themes of love, betrayal, friendship and mystery. I wonder who the kidnappers were and how Sushil will solve the case and bring those responsible for justice. I look forward to read it.

Readers who enjoy justice-for-kidnapping-victims stories would find themselves attached to Sushant, Sushil, and others. I am not sure how the main character's background as an actor is relevant to the story, though. Congratulations for winning the award of BotD!

I don't know anything about Sushant Singh Rajput, the actor 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘯 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳—𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵 1 by Chandra Preethi is based on, but the plot with Sushil and the kidnapped girl does sound intriguing.

A couple of friends find themselves in trouble because they tried to help a girl who seemed to be in trouble, so they were accused of kidnapping, which was a big confusion. This story will cover very interesting topics ranging from justice to betrayal. The book is quite entertaining, based on the story of an actor.

"The diary of an actor- Part 1" by Chandra Preethi is a fictional story inspired by the life and times of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The story covers several topics including love, friendship and the price of seeking justice. Sushil and his girlfriend Raksha went to a birthday party for a friend named Rukta. While Sushil has loving feelings for Raksha, she is very controlling and expects Sushil to do what she wants him to do. At the party Sushil meets Usha, his former manager and her fiancé, Sohan. Usha is a celebrity manager and Sushil worked with her until she broke her leg and had to have another manager step in to work with her clients. When Sushil walked around, he noticed that there were several people snorting cocaine, including Raksha who was almost unconscious from snorting too much cocaine. He told Raksha that they needed to leave and he needed help getting her into his car. Outside by his car he confronts Usha about the drugs and she told him drugs were very commonplace in Bollywood. Usha went back to the party and a lady that had too much to drink bumped into her and spilled her drink on Usha’s dress. Usha went looking for a bathroom so that she could wash the drink off of her clothes. After accomplishing this feat at a drinking fountain, she bumped into a piece of cardboard. She picked it up but then noticed a girl bound and gagged under a table next to the drinking fountain Usha unbound the girl and removed the cloth gag from her mouth. The girl told her that she had been kidnapped so Usha decided to save her. She called Sohan several times but he did not answer so she thought of Sushil and called him to help her. He arrives in time to rescue the girl and turns her over to the police. Sushil wants the Mumbai Police to pursue the girl’s case and arrest the people that were behind her kidnapping. One needs to read the book to learn what happens to the Nepali girl. Will the police get justice for the Nepali girl? This is an exciting story that is easy to read in short chapters. The author developed the characters to bring out the love, friendship and betrayal themes. The book deserves the 5 out of 5-star rating.

I like Sushil already. He's obviously a man that lives by principles and doesn't take anything less from those that associate with him. I do hope he was able to get to the roots of the kidnapping without endangering himself.

I’m amazed at how you captured the overall gist of the book, as in your review, as well as captured its feel without revealing too much, leaving the reader wanting more. The mixture of inspiration from actual events and fiction seems like it would be an emotional rollercoaster of a ride. I was intrigued by the blend of betrayal and justice woven into an action-packed story that unfolds in Mumbai. Sounds like the kind of book that keeps you turning pages long after midnight. This one absolutely goes on the ‘must-read’ list. You and Chandra Preethi, who I must say has shown courage in addressing these bold issues, clearly have my respect, as do you for writing such an insightful review.

Overall Impressions

A gripping fictional-thriller loosely inspired by the life and mysterious passing of Sushant Singh Rajput, featuring themes of love, betrayal, and intrigue

Plot & Characters
The story follows a celebrated actor whose seemingly perfect life cracks when his relationship with a girlfriend—whose affections feel tied to his fame—and his ex-manager (who rekindles communication during a dramatic phone call) collide at a star-studded event. The phone call triggers a "cascade of events" that propel him into a deep conspiracy. Supporting characters—like his sisters (Meetu and Priyanka), the girlfriend Rhea, and ex-manager Disha—are well drawn, lending emotional weight to key moments. One reviewer noted that the author “captures the intricate tapestry of emotions… laying bare their vulnerabilities and complexities”

Strengths
Compelling narrative: Readers praise the fast pace and numerous surprises—“won’t allow the reader to rest from the start to the end”

Vivid themes: The book thoughtfully explores betrayal, love, friendship, and justice.

Well-defined characters: Especially noted are the emotional resonance and believable portrayals of central figures.

Areas for Improvement
Editing and language flow: Several reviews mention clunky phrasing and grammatical oversights that sometimes hinder immersion.

Potential Readers
Fans of Bollywood-inspired thrillers, especially those curious about the origins of high-profile controversies.

Thriller readers who enjoy emotional complexity, twists, and a dramatic tempo.

Caution for sensitive readers: Contains mature themes around manipulation, mental strain, and betrayal.

Final Verdict
Chandra Preethi delivers a taut, emotionally engaging thriller that blends real-life parallels with fiction. While the prose could benefit from tighter editing, the universal themes, unexpected plot turns, and multidimensional characters make it a solid pick—especially if you're drawn to suspenseful narratives rooted in the glitz and grit of fame.

Recommendation: Highly recommended for thriller lovers and those interested in celebrity-inspired drama, but be prepared for some stylistic rough edges.

Inspired by the life and times of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, this book gives the reader a glimpse into the life of an actor. The main character, Sushil, attends a party, and that is the start of a series of events, which include saving a Nepali girl who had been kidnapped and seeking justice for her. Thanks for the review!
