series " The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency
a true delight!...... pure escapism to another country in a " seemingly " other time...Mma Ramotswe is a charachter never to be forgotten....from her " platonic " male friend, her daily redbush tea, her title of " the only lady private detective in Botswana "....... Author Alexander McCall Smith captures the " feeling " of Africa and the essence of this woman in a very straightforwardly simple and appealing writing style...........
Up until the very last page,on the last sentence a beautiful surprise brought a tear to my eye...
( don't you dare look, i'm watching you ! )

It was made into a movie and shown on HBO....... i just added it to my Netflix Queu...
Thank you L.C.!
Carpe Diem!

Actually suzy, you kinda remind me of the great lady herself, I get the feeling you share her attitude to life

I couldn't agree more! I think I've missed the last one or two. I need to get back into them. They really are delightful. That adjective fits the series perfectly.suzy1124 wrote: a true delight!...... pure escapism to another country in a " seemingly " other time
