Review: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Although I have seen conversations on these forums about the sequel for To Kill a Mockingbird, I haven't seen a review of the original book itself. Personally, the book To Kill a Mockingbird is not one of my favorites, nor did it have a big impact on me. It is worth reading for the fact that it is considered one of the classics, but I would not recommend it otherwise. The book is written in a simple manner with deep, underlying themes of racism, the existence of good and evil, and addressing the ideas of inequality and how we judge/view other people. It is written in the perspective of a young girl and describes what she sees in the world around her. To Kill a Mockingbird is considered a classic, and makes a person think about the essence of right and wrong, but I would not recommend this book as an entertaining or life changing one.
