When I was a child, my mother was reading "The Thorn Birds," "Roots,"
and "All the President's Men." I sat next to her on the couch reading "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing," "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret" and "Watership Down."

When I was young, apart from Romeo and Juliet, Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens was a very popular book because a popular musician released a song by the same title.

Gulliver travels. Am not sure why but maybe its because it was the only one in our school. Got introduced to Shakespeare later on

Shakespeare's works, Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, Cyprian Ekwensi and Abubakar Imam were very popular when I was growing up. It's part of the reason why I become interested in reading.

Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens and the Count Of Monte Christo were popular books within my family. I grew up and had much fun reading them. I am also a fan of Jane Austen's work. I just finished reading her book, Persuasion.

Around the world in 180 days was one of my favourite classics.

For me, it was The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Moby Dick, and Pride and Prejudice. Everybody seemed to know them.

At school we were asked to read The Diary of Anne Frank, it's the one I remember the most.

I would give it to Oliver Twist. Every child back then read this book a good number of times.

I think it was Romeo and Juliet as I heard many of my classmate talk about it.

The tales of Hans Christian Andersen. Or at least I liked them a lot. It is much easier to read those stories than to watch the movies or other versions. The only classic book I remember from elementary school is The Diary of a Young Girl, but I didn't like it.
