Great review, very informative! Camping is not a topic I ever thought much about, but learning there's so much history to it is very interesting. Great there's a well made and we'll researched book on the subject.

Here in Utah fun is all about the outdoors. Life wouldn’t be complete without hiking and camping. It would be interesting to try and understand why some people would think that camping isn’t a right all people should be allowed.

I've never been involved in outdoor camping before, so most of the things the author shares might go over my head. However, I'd love to gain the knowledge in this book; I might need it someday. Thank you for the review.

I enjoy camping and I enjoy history, and I have never thought about the history of camping-lol Nor have I ever thought about the various forms of camping that have manifested in the US. Your informative review of the book is already provoking many thoughts on the subject, and it compels me to add "Camping Grounds" by Phoebe S.K. Young to my reading list.

It's fascinating how camping has evolved from survival and protest to recreation over the years. The blend of history, politics, and outdoor culture sounds like a compelling and eye-opening read.

I will definitely have to check this book out as I love outdoor recreation and I am interested in Camping, even though I have only pitched a tent in my backyard. I am interested in US history and peoples relationship with land (and how that has changed). Adding to my TBR, excellent review Gerry :)

This makes me realize how camping is much more than just a hobby and how it’s deeply connected to history, society and even protest. I’m curious to learn how public nature and social contracts have shaped camping practices over time. Thank you for the interesting review.
