When I read the title, I was wondering if it was about a couch potato or a psychiatrist(apparently I'm not the only one), and I'm pleasantly surprised that it's not about either. I guess that gives a hint to the humorous parts of the author's personality. Sounds like an interesting book about being in business! As a Minnesotan, I’m immediately drawn to this book for geological reasons alone but the sample tells me I’m going to enjoy on its own merits. Who knew a furniture salesman could double as an interesting writer?

With 70 years of history under its been, this furniture story has many stories to tell. From its humble beginnings to the multiple storefronts, a lot can be learned about how to achieve a successful business venture. A book about a man who begins working in the family business at 15 and continues through life, as son to father and on...we learn the ins and outs of the furniture business as told by an insider. Sounds like a interesting read, I can't wait to start reading it.

When I saw the title of the book, I just knew that it would have humor in it. I must admit that, like everyone else, I did think of a couch potato right off the bat. I never would have gotten from the cover that it was about building a furniture business from the ground up. I'm afraid this isn't really my cup of tea, but I'm glad others are enjoying it. It's a very interesting premise; It never occurred to me that a furniture salesman would have this much wisdom to impart. It's also exciting to read a book with good humor. Definitely worth checking out!
