i was also misled by the title at first but fortunately like always it turned out okay and more. an account on how a family business started, survived hardships and succeeded sounds very inspiring that if i could, i would love to read this book. good job on the review!

Learning from other people's experience can have positive results to one's life. The message conveyed would encourage young entrepreneurs. I will read the book and learn from the author's experience. I appreciate your kind review.

Family businesses are always interesting. I like that this book keeps a good sense of humor. The part about credit-dodgers sounds especially funny.

When I read the title, I was wondering if it was about a couch potato or a psychiatrist(apparently I'm not the only one), and I'm pleasantly surprised that it's not about either. I guess that gives a hint to the humorous parts of the author's personality. Sounds like an interesting book about being in business! Thanks for adding the quote to the end of your review, it's so true.

This sounds like a very interesting and inspiring story. This is not just a history of Schneiderman Furniture, but also advice on how to run a family business and give good customer service. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

It is very interesting book. I love the book very much especially emotional parts mixed with humor. Although the book is short, it contains a lot of wisdom and experience.

As a Minnesotan, I’m immediately drawn to this book for geological reasons alone 😉 but the sample tells me I’m going to enjoy on its own merits. Who knew a furniture salesman could double as an interesting writer?

With 70 years of history under its been, this furniture story has many stories to tell. From its humble beginnings to the multiple storefronts, a lot can be learned about how to achieve a successful business venture. It's unfortunate about the family dynamics, but hopefully it is all water under the bridge. Thanks for the wonderful review.

A book about a man who begins working in the family business at 15 and continues through life, as son to father and on...we learn the ins and outs of the furniture business as told by an insider. Sounds like a interesting read, I can't wait to start reading it.

When I saw the title of the book, I just knew that it would have humor in it. I must admit that, like everyone else, I did think of a couch potato right off the bat. I never would have gotten from the cover that it was about building a furniture business from the ground up. I'm afraid this isn't really my cup of tea, but I'm glad others are enjoying it. Thanks for the review!

I like the quote at the end of your review, specially where it is said that when you buy quality, you only cry once. I'm glad that you liked the book so much. Congrats to the author on the 4/4 review.

Thank you for such a thorough review.
It's a very interesting premise; It never occurred to me that a furniture salesman would have this much wisdom to impart. It's also exciting to read a book with good humor. Definitely worth checking out!
